Since I am a radiologist myself, I am familiar with the issues that Ms Morrogh raised. I cannot confirm the figures precisely because I do not have them with me. The waiting lists for diagnostics do not just include cancer patients. Rather, they are for all treatments within the health service. From my personal experience, the figures given where consultant radiologist posts are concerned fall in the right place. As Ms Morrogh pointed out, the diagnostics are a crucial element in cancer services. This area has to be considered within the overall context of the health service.
