The matter came to light on the St. Patrick's Day weekend this year. In April, two weeks later, Sport Ireland suspended funding to the FAI. The terms and conditions of grant aid are reviewed in consultation with the governing bodies of sport. When we rewrite our terms and conditions, we contact the governing bodies, tell them what we are doing and secure their consent. We conducted the KOSI audit with the consent of the FAI.
