Like Deputy Stanley, I am shocked about the funding for the control of horses, and I would be interested to hear what Deputy Cahill has to say on this matter. The Department has let down the local authorities. It has been an absolute disgrace. It is very hard to get a meeting with the Department, for a start. Paddy Mahon and others who have been before this committee have been let down by the Department. I was a member of a local authority when the Control of Horses Act came in, and the Minister's predecessors threw it down to the local authorities and told them to get on with the show with no resources. It happened. I was there. I am sure the Minister was there as well, as he has been knocking around for a long time. He does not suffer from amnesia; he is very sharp. I do not suffer from it either.
