I call the meeting to order. We have the required four members present, including at least one from each House. Therefore, we can commence the meeting. The Chairman has given notice that he will be unavoidably absent from the meeting. According to Standing Orders, the committee must proceed at once to elect one of its members to act as Chairman. I invite nominations for the position of Acting Chairman.
