This meeting has been convened to allow the committee to consider Committee Stage of the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Bill 2019. Members are reminded of the long-standing parliamentary practice to the effect that they should not comment on, criticise or make charges against a person outside the House or an official either by name or in such a way as to make him or her identifiable.
We are joined by the Minister of State at the Department of Justice and Equality, Deputy Stanton, and his officials. They are all welcome. Does the Minister of State wish to make some opening remarks before we address the Gaming and Lotteries (Amendment) Bill in detail?
