I remind members to turn their mobile phones off during the meeting. Apologies have been received from Deputy Naughton and Senator Ruane, who is ill. I propose we go into private session to deal with housekeeping matters. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The joint committee went into private session at 10.45 p.m. and resumed in public session at 11.10 a.m.

Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin took the Chair.
