Other healthcare systems make use of anonymised audits. While it is very difficult for us to look at this through the prism of our experience over the past year, other healthcare systems which did not have that experience consider screening to be outside the expectations of a diagnostic pathway. Audits of interval cancers are carried out in some systems, but they are anonymised because the primary purpose of the audit is to inform the quality of the programme.
