If my figures are correct, the number of women who presented increased from 280,000 in 2017 to 370,000 in 2018, an increase of 90,000 women. The backlog is 79,500 or the guts of 80,000. In that case, is the extra capacity in the system sufficient for only 10,500 additional presentations? According to the opening statement, the backlog is 79,500, which suggests the HSE has found additional capacity for only 10,500 tests.
