I thank the Minister for his opening statement. Regarding DEIS schools, The Irish Timeshas an initiative No Child 2020. It looks at child welfare, educational disadvantage, children in schools and class divides. Will the Minister elaborate on the funding for DEIS schools and the criteria used in determining which schools are to become DEIS schools? I know that a number of schools across the country are applying for such status and obviously believe they are eligible, but there are some blockages. I am asking about the funding and extra resources provided for these schools which are attended by many disadvantaged children.
