Amazingly, yesterday in the health committee it was confirmed to me that the Minister was made aware of the cost overrun on 9 August. He was in a meeting with the Taoiseach at the time, coincidentally, and the Taoiseach was informed on the same day, as was the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Deputy Donohoe.
