That meant there was no point in putting in a solution that could only provide 30 Mbps. Any solution needs to be capable of being scaled and interestingly, the three bidders that came to the table originally all proposed fibre to the home. If one looks right across Europe, the technology that is being deployed to ensure that any broadband network is future-proofed is fibre to the home.
