Lyme Disease: Discussion

9:00 am

Professor Karina Butler:

I am afraid I have no figures or specific collated numbers. All I know is that I have seen several patients who have been encouraged to seek tests overseas. From patient reports, it seems it costs €800 to €1,200 to have the testing panel done and it covers a wide array of pathogens. Many of the tests are standard and universally accepted and there is no controversy about them here.

There is no reason to seek them overseas. They test for Lyme disease, CMV, microplasma and a range of pathogens.
