I know of examples of small-scale restoration projects in Alpine areas that were also used to support tourism developments. However, they are small-scale initiatives. There might be other examples in Nordic countries, with which I would be less familiar, as well as in central Europe. I know of current wetlands restoration projects, but I am not directly familiar with them.
