I am with Ms Marie Donnelly on the continued use of fossil fuel for heating and I agree with her that it makes sense to stop it now. I have heard the arguments from the Department that it continues to use it to keep the supply of houses going and to bring competition for gas and oil but I do not think we need that. We have to stop using gas and oil now. Mr. McCarthy spoke of cost-optimal levels. What is the cost of carbon in the context of that issue or any other work the Department is doing?
