I asked these questions because I saw what was happening in my own area. In looking at an individual case, I wonder how it is playing out generally. I asked a question and got a reply in June about community healthcare organisation, CHO, area 7, Kildare and west Wicklow. There has been an increase in the budget between 2014 and 2018. When I asked a question about the availability of a home care package for an individual person, I was told that the money for this year had been spent earlier this year. There is no scope in my location for home care packages. The €6.9 million is essentially all accounted for at this stage.

I understand there is a degree of scoping out for a year for a particular individual, and that may change if somebody goes into a nursing home. There is a bit of flexibility in that. Is that the same throughout the process or is it just in one particular area of the country? Is it the same profile?
