We were one of the organisations that suggested that the National Strategy for Women and Girls 2017-2020 be used as a baseline or reference document in the first instance. As I mentioned earlier, that seems to have been done by the Department of Education and Skills and others but not by the Department of Health. The guidance of the national strategy was followed in some senses. The NWC also engages with the Department of Education and Skills and other Departments around these issues. Apprenticeships would be one of the issues upon which we would engage with the Department. We are happy enough at the moment but until we get on to the steering group, the level of influence we can have within each Department is unclear, apart from talking to Ministers about gender budgeting.
