Is féidir linn an cruinniú a thosú. Níl leithscéal faighte agam ó éinne. An féidir le gach duine a ghuthán a mhúchadh, le bhur dtoil, mar go gcuireann sé isteach ar an gcruinniú agus ar an gcóras fuaime freisin? Mar atá comhaontaithe ag an Coiste um Nós Imeachta maidir leis na coistí gan pháipéir, tá na páipéir go léir a bhaineann leis an gcruinniú seo curtha ar bhunachar na gcaipéisí do na baill. An ealaíon agus an t-oideachas is iad na n-ábhair a bheidh á phlé ag an gcoiste inniu. We will discuss the arts and education. Cuirfimid an cruinniú ar fionraí anois.

Sitting suspended at 1.40 p.m. and resumed at 1.43 p.m.

Is this the only meeting at which we will discuss the arts and education?

In this series, yes. There will be a series of meetings on the arts.

Clerk to the Committee:

We have a series of meetings planned. There will be one on the arts and the Irish language at the end of the month. We have a music segment lined up also and there will be a couple of others. There is a name in every slot between now and the summer. We also have to deal with the Estimates and the Heritage Bill.

In giving our feedback my office sent on a request that the National Youth Council be invited to address the joint committee. It might have gone to the Chairman's office rather than to the committee secretariat.

I did not see it. We will look at providing another opportunity to bring it in, if that suits.

It would be perfectly placed in the intergenerational session in Bealtaine.

Clerk to the Committee:

We already have four delegates.

That is a good point.
