These apps are problematic because the product is the child and the user. The product is not the app. What they want to do is maximise the extent to which one engages with those apps. If they know that the Deputy and I are in constant contact with each other and she buys something, then maybe I could buy it too. Commerce is the objective. That is why the digital age of consent is important because profiling is the objective.
