I do not think there is a contradiction in that repeal simpliciteris not an alternative to repeal and replace with alternative legislation. We know from testimony that legislation is being prepared and that, in order for it to be facilitated, Article 40.3.3° has to be removed from the Constitution. I echo the points made. We need to make the position clear and give some space for those who are in favour of legislation.
