I hope the joint committee will be able to meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 29 November, which is a difficult time, especially for members who have considerable distances to travel.

On the proposal to invite the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Deputy Eoghan Murphy, for a discussion on the national planning framework, will this be done immediately?

We must prioritise our meeting with the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, Deputy Eoghan Murphy, because as a careful reading of the national planning framework will show, it is a ticking bomb.

The meeting with the Minister should be the first meeting. The other meetings will follow over a period. I expect we will have a more efficient member in the Chair at our next meeting.

The select committee adjourned at 12.10 p.m. sine die.
