When I left the House a lot of people had visitors who came to see us. They are all very welcome. We have a number of witnesses before the committee today. We look forward to their contributions and our deliberations, but we have a little bit of internal business to take care of before we do that.

The first item on our agenda concerns our EU scrutiny role, where we had a number of pieces of legislation which the committee considered in private session. For the record I am going to record our decisions in public session. We considered ten items; COM(2017)54, COM(2017)83, COM(2017)132, COM(2016)175, COM(2016)285, COM(2016)287, COM(2017)366, COM(2017)427, COM(2017)428 and COM(2016)789. Of the ten COMs, it was decided that COM(2017)54, which deals with aviation and emissions, and COM(2016)285, which deals with a digital Single Market, will both be subject to further review.
