I have not seen the report on the taxation of rental income. I recognise that REITs have played a role, but the difference between the tax treatment of an individual Irish landlord or an Irish company involved in renting out properties compared to the tax treatment of institutional landlords, namely REITs, is very stark. It is an issue which needs to be examined and I will be interested to see what the report the Minister has says, if indeed it addresses the issue.
