Has the institute any such work? I asked Dr. McDonnell a question earlier about evidence and he suggested that there is none and that we need to look at the long-term in a country. We dispute and disagree with some of what the ESRI produces, but its representatives told this committee last year that there is no evidence to suggest that marginal tax rates are a deterrent to employment. Indeed, they pointed out that investment in child care would be a larger enabler in terms of economic activity and job creation.
