In accordance with Standing Order 90, the following message will be sent to the Dáil:

The Joint Committee on Justice and Equality has completed its consideration of the following motion:That Dáil Éireann approves the exercise by the State of the option or discretion under Protocol No. 21 on the position of the United Kingdom and Ireland in respect of the area of freedom, security and justice annexed to the Treaty on European Union and to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
(i) to accept the following measure:
Regulation (EU) 2017/353 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 February 2017 replacing Annexes A and B to Regulation (EU) 2015/848 on insolvency proceedings,
a copy of which was laid before Dáil Éireann on 13th April 2017, and
(ii) to take part in the adoption and application of the following proposed measure:
Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council adapting a number of legal acts in the area of Justice providing for the use of the regulatory procedure with scrutiny to Article 290 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
a copy of which was laid before Dáil Éireann on 12th January 2017.

The joint committee went into private session at 9.30 a.m. and adjourned at 10.25 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 14 June 2017.
