Before we proceed, I wish to record in public session the decision taken by the committee on item 6, an EU proposal. The committee agreed that COM (2017) 133, a proposal for a Council decision regarding the position to be adopted, on behalf of the European Union, in the joint committee of the regional convention on pan-Euro Mediterranean preferential rules of origin with regard to the amendments of Appendix II to that convention, does not warrant further scrutiny. On schedule A, COM (2017) 114, a proposal for regulation of the European Parliament and the Council on European business statistics, is considered significant and the Central Statistics Office, CSO, will assist the committee in its scrutiny of the proposal later in the meeting. Details of committee decisions made relating to EU proposals are published on its website.
