No apologies have been received.

Before commencing our consideration of the Revised Estimates and inviting the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice and Equality to join us, we shall discuss one matter. If everyone listens to me carefully, I propose that we go into private session for five minutes for the purpose of hearing a short briefing by the Oireachtas financial scrutiny team. Mr. Conor Morrison will speak about the analysis paper the team has prepared on the Garda Vote, one of the component parts of the Revised Estimates for consideration today. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The select committee went into private session at 9.10 a.m. and resumed in public session at 9.15 a.m.
