In terms of drug and alcohol treatment in prison, the witnesses said that a wide range of treatment intervention options are available from community-based organisations. I know the previous Inspector of Prisons recommended that the HSE play a more active role in treatment intervention and rehabilitation. Do the witnesses have any comments to make about that?
