We have had much discussion on the potential for a hard Border vis-à-visa soft Border and the challenges that would pose for the economy North and South. Has the Department for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation or the Government considered the potential impact of Brexit on this country in terms of emigration? In many respects it is similar to the challenges that the French Government faced in Calais where it had to deal with the migration of significant numbers. We could face such a challenge as people try to migrate to the UK. We want a soft Border for many reasons, but has the potential of Ireland becoming a migration route to the UK been analysed by the team dealing with Brexit?
