I realise that Deputies have concerns regarding this section. I had a very detailed discussion with representatives of An Garda Síochána on it. Having asked them for further advice in this respect, and in light of the concerns that have been expressed by Deputies, I am happy to agree to the deletion of this section. I do not have any objections to the section being opposed.
