Before we engage with the Minister of State, I wish to record the decisions taken by the joint committee on proposals from the European Union. On No. 8, EU scrutiny, the committee agreed that the following EU proposals warrant further scrutiny, COM 2016/23, COM 2016/25, COM 2016/26, COM 2016/300, COM 2016/312, COM 2016/313, COM 2016/314, COM 2016/450, COM 2016/551 and COM 2016/557. It was agreed that the remaining EU proposals considered today did not warrant further scrutiny and that details of all the EU proposals considered today and of the decisions made on these proposals will be published on the committee website.
