You mentioned this morning's The Irish Timesin your opening statement. I see that Martin Dunne, the director of the NAS, is quoted as saying that the process involved updating emergency service systems to adapt to Eircode, and so on. In 2014, Mr. Dunne wrote: "At no stage has the NAS or myself outlined that this system is the answer to all our needs in relation to rapid access to patients etc, however it is a mechanism that will assist and fill the void that exists at the moment." That is at variance with the statement this morning. What has happened in the meantime and how much was spent to make Eircode compatible with the NAS, or vice versa?
