Most farmers with whom I have spoken informed me that the cows that returned from Italy were one, two-star and three-star animals, whereas the cattle that were sent for slaughter were four-star and five-star animals. They would not be given confirmation. In fairness to farmers, however, they are not fools and will not breed poor animals.
