The commissioner mentioned 115 complaints last year, 35 of which related to the Road Safety Authority. The commissioner spoke about teachers with fluent Irish in Gaeltacht schools. Do those teachers not have fluent Irish and the relevant qualifications given most primary and secondary school teachers have qualifications in Irish? What would define a fluent Irish-speaking teacher or an Irish-speaking teacher that teaches in a Gaeltacht school?
