The barbarism of ISIS is clearly anti the Syrian people, as is the Assad regime with its barbarity. The big question for the international community, given the ineffectiveness of the United Nations and the veto used by Russia, is how we can get to an international position that will allow for a transition in Syria. Is that not the kernel of the problem, that no progress can be made until there is a satisfactory transition mechanism?
