One of the issues we had in previous years was that our asset registers were, to put it mildly, less than brilliant owing to the fact that the Department operates out of so many different locations. If my memory serves, previous indications from the Comptroller and Auditor General were that this was not good enough and the Department needed to do something about it. We brought together a group specifically to look at the assets of the Department and put a proper and current valuation on them.
