We will consider the supplementary information received in respect of the 2015 Revised Estimates for the Public Service for the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform group of Votes. The Dáil ordered on 18 December 2014 that the following Revised Estimates for the Public Services be referred to this sub-committee for consideration: Vote 11 - Public Expenditure and Reform, Vote 12 - Superannuation and Retired Allowances, Vote 14 - State Laboratory, Vote 15 - Secret Service, Vote 16 - Valuation Office, Vote 17 - Public Appointments Service, Vote 18 - Shared Services, Vote 19 - Office of the Ombudsman, and Vote 39 - Office of Government Procurement. The Select Sub-Committee on Public Expenditure and Reform met the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Deputy Howlin on 11 February to consider the Revised Estimates for 2015 for the Public Expenditure and Reform Vote group. As some members requested further information arising from the discussions that day, it was agreed to await that further information in order that we could complete our consideration of the Revised Estimates before we sent a message to that effect to the Clerk of the Dáil in accordance with Standing Order 87. In response to the sub-committee's request, supplementary information was provided to the select sub-committee and has been circulated to members. Do members wish to comment?

We have received significant helpful information. I wish to raise an issue on the Vote on the Central Statistics Office. We got information on global valuations and this included the valuation of Irish Water. I want to make a formal request to the joint committee to invite the Central Statistics Office to discuss its work on the market corporation test in respect of Irish Water and to elaborate on the methodologies and processes. I know the CSO will send the information to EUROSTAT. Many people are confused about how the CSO is dealing with this issue. I would like the Central Statistics Office to receive an invitation to discuss as soon as possible the matter of Irish Water separately from what we are discussing today. It would be similar to the invitation to the regulator of the national lottery to come before us next week. Does the Chairman require that I put this in writing?

Perhaps the Deputy could send an e-mail to the clerk.

I will send an e-mail formally requesting the CSO to be invited to appear before the joint committee to discuss the matter. It will be on the list for next week's correspondence.

Perfect. Thank you, Deputy. Are there any further comments? No. As we have now completed our consideration of the Revised Estimates, the clerk will send a message to that effect to the Clerk of the Dáil in accordance with Standing Order 87. Under Standing Order 86(2) the message is deemed to be the report of the committee. Is that agreed? Agreed.
