I remind members, visitors and those in the public gallery to ensure their mobile phones are switched off for the duration of the meeting as they interfere with the broadcasting equipment, even when on silent mode.
There is one schedule A proposal for decision, COM(2014)585, a proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and the Council on the tariff treatment for goods originating from Ecuador. It is proposed that the proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. However, we will request further information from the Department.

I wish to reiterate what we discussed. I believe it warrants further scrutiny and I propose that we ask the Department to question the European Commission on the veracity of the allegations made by the former Ecuadorian Minister as to bullying of his government through the treaty negotiations.

Further to that, we should establish the veracity of the document which none of us has yet seen. Is that agreed? Agreed.
We will suspend to allow our guests to take their seats.
