Committee of Inquiry into the Banking Crisis
Context Phase
4:15 am
Mr. Rob Wright:
No. We asked what we could learn from what happened and tried to identify the way forward. The committee should look at this report in the context of implementation. There are good reasons for not doing some of these things. It is there for the Irish Government to use and to take stock of how it is working and how it can be improved. It is a great thing to even look at. However, all of that is going forward. The Senator asked if the inquiry is going to find out more than what Mr. Nyberg said. I do not know what he said. What I have tried to identify today are some of the really important challenges for the future that people here at a political level are really going to be obliged to engage with going forward.
