I remind members and witnesses that mobile phones should be switched off.

Before commencing the main business of the meeting, we have to scrutinise some EU legislative proposals. The first EU proposal is COM (2014) 219 re Green Paper on mobile health. It is proposed that this Green Paper warrants further scrutiny. It is proposed to write to the Department of Health seeking Ireland's position on this Green Paper. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The next EU proposal is COM (2014) 246 re proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and the Council repealing Council Directive 93/5/EEC of 25 February 1993 on assistance to the Commission and co-operation by member states in the scientific examination of questions relating to food. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.
