All of us share concerns about the abolition of the milk quota and the effect this will have if it does not work out to plan for people who have made large investments in preparation for it, such as expansion or intensification of production. The Minister's presentation makes clear the divisions between the big powers, with Britain, France, Spain and Sweden on one side and Germany on the other. The Minister also stated some will want to see the re-introduction of some form of supply control. The quota was the supply control.
