We have received apologies from Senator David Norris, whom I believe is progressing well following his surgery. We continue to wish him well. We sent a letter expressing our good wishes and received an acknowledgement.

I congratulate Ms Deirdre Clune on her success in the European Parliament elections. I also congratulate Senator Lorraine Higgins, a member of this committee who also did really well. As she was not successful on this occasion, we will have her back again. I congratulate her and Ms Clune for putting their names forward for the European Parliament elections. We will obviously miss Ms Clune, but her election represents progress.
