We will now continue our scrutiny of the following EU proposals: COM (2011) 812, COM (2012) 499, COM (2012) 712, COM (2013) 502, COM (2013) 516, COM (2013) 607, COM (2013) 715, COM (2013) 722 and COM (2013) 761

COM (2012) 499, COM (2012) 712 and COM (2013) 502, COM (2013) 516, COM (2013) 722 and COM (2013) 761 are on schedule A. COM (2011) 812 and COM (2013) 607 and COM (2013) 715 are on schedule B.

COM (2012) 499, proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the statute and funding of European political parties and European political foundations, and COM (2012) 712, proposal for a regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EU, Euratom) No. 966/2012 as regards the financing of European political parties, will be taken together. It is proposed to send a letter to the Secretary General of the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government outlining the importance that the committee attaches to these proposals and requesting regular updates as to their progress through the EU legislative process. Is that agreed? Agreed.

COM (2013) 516 is a proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Regulation (EC) No. 1013/2006 on shipments of waste dated 11 July 2013. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

COM (2013) 761, proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste to reduce the consumption of lightweight plastic carrier bags. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

COM (2013) 502, proposal for a Council regulation on defining criteria determining when recovered paper ceases to be waste pursuant to Article 6(1) of Directive 2008/98/EC on waste. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

COM (2013) 722, proposal for a directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2003/87/EC establishing a scheme for greenhouse gas emission allowance trading within the Community, in view of the implementation by 2020 of an international agreement applying a single global market-based measure to international aviation emissions. It is proposed that this proposal does not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.

It is proposed that the proposals in schedule B do not warrant further scrutiny. Is that agreed? Agreed.
