I move amendment No. 54:
Amendment No. 54 is a technical amendment to section 6(2) of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992 to clarify that a housing authority may give assistance to an approved housing body under that section by letting a house to that approved housing body. It is the advice of the Attorney General that we should insert this provision for certainty.
In page 19, after line 39, to insert the following new section:45.—Section 6 of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1992 is amended in subsection (2) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (e):"(ea) by letting a house (including a house provided under Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000) to another housing authority referred to in subsection (1)(a) or a body referred to in subsection (1)(b);".".
