With the members' permission, we will adjourn our discussion on the EU scrutiny matter out of respect to the policy clerk because it is late in the day and it is a very complex issue. Is it agreed that it be moved to our slot next Thursday morning?

I would prefer if it was discussed today.

I accept that. I propose that given the complexity of the issue and the fact that it will have a direct impact on the public, as part of our scrutiny, we should invite officials from the Department of Health and Children, along with our policy clerk, to next week's meeting to present a detailed explanation of the contents of the matter before us. It is 12.30 p.m. now and the matter warrants a proper discussion. Is that agreed? Agreed.

The joint committee adjourned at 12.25 p.m. until 9.30 a.m. on Thursday, 21 February 2013.
