Hydraulic Fracturing: Discussion
10:20 am
Mr. Ciaran Ó hÓbáin:
I will not enter a debate on British tax policy, but I am aware of the consultation that has started. The Senator is right in his point about geology not recognising borders. On either side of the Border, if there is an environmental impact assessment, it must take account of potential cross-Border impacts. Any project in Northern Ireland is subject to the same EU legislative framework that would apply in this jurisdiction.
