To just add to what Dr. Hassett was saying, we need to change the narrative that it is them versus us because 22% of our population is us. It is our loved ones, our relatives, our neighbours, it is the people that we want the best for. Universal design, as Dr. Hassett and Ms Kearns said, is beneficial for our older population, who we will become in the time to come. It benefits everyone. We have people with disabilities, illnesses and long-term conditions in our team and it has made our team better. Our team is better because we come up with better solutions because we look at it from all angles, especially for the cohort of people we support. It benefits everyone to have more universal design in our workplaces. That is my take on it. We should be changing the narrative of them versus us. It is all us.
