It is interesting that Instagram has a full page advertisement in the Irish Times today that states it is going to start protecting minors and that parental permission will have to be sought. The citizens were concerned about how much we can trust the platforms that are making money out of us and have allowed this to happen for so long. Some of the resolutions call for legislation to strengthen the powers of Coimisiún na Meán. That is a matter for the committee.
