Mr. T.J. Malone:
It is unique. I would say no contract in the history of the State has been drawn up that is anything like this or the governance that goes with it. I understand it comprises between 3,400 and 3,500 pages. That grows every time we tell the story.
The day of signing a contract and putting it on a shelf is far from where we are. We live, breathe and die by this contract every single day of the week. We are managed within an inch of our life by the Department on a daily basis. We have a number of meetings and interactions with the Department every single day. Ms Meyer probably has more interactions than anyone else. There are probably seven or eight different working groups in the Department, concerning connections, bills, etc. It is a very complex contract. I do not know who thought an organisation could operationalise a 3,500-page contract. It has been done well. In the early part of the contract, there were probably 85 people in the Department who oversaw this on a daily basis, a number which has been whittled down as time has gone on.
We obviously have interactions. The Minister has attended a number of our board meetings as well.
