However, it is important to understand that when someone comes forward and asks us to hear what they have to say, it is sometimes on an informal basis. We provide support as required. Ms Pakes and her team in the child welfare and safeguarding department provide a safe space and a space where people can come forward. On the back of the PFAI coming forward with specific concerns from the girls in green, it was determined that we needed to ensure we created additional avenues for people to come forward.
