I thank the witnesses for their presentations. Some of the questions I was going to ask have been covered. With regard to the international experience, is there prior judicial approval? If so, do any of the witnesses know exactly what the detail of this is? Does it go to a local district judge or a judge at a lower level? How does it work in the US? A few people have mentioned oversight. Is this from an independent body following the introduction of facial recognition technology? Is it pre-approval oversight? With regard to international experience, has the code of practice usually been in the Bills that have been introduced abroad? I feel it should be set out clearly so that we know what we are approving. The technology is evolving practically week by week. What risk assessments are carried out? Are there international bodies that carry out pilot schemes or oversight of a pilot scheme prior to the introduction of any such legislation? I have asked a lot of questions but mostly they are about what the international experience is and what other countries introduced prior to codifying the legislation.
